In Search of South Africa's Wildflowers

We're off to spend three weeks in South Africa's Western Cape and Northern Cape regions where, if we're lucky, we'll see some of the most spectacular wildflower displays in the world.  The rainy season  got off to a late and spotty start, so we may be there too early, but I hope we'll see some, plus some birds, of course!  We leave Wednesday, Aug 5, flying from Los Angeles to Heathrow and then a straight shot down to Cape Town.  We arrive on Friday, Aug 7, and will drive straight to the town of Paarl where we will recover for a few days.
